Silvia Yueh immigrated with her family from Taiwan in 1976, and she received MS degree in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles. Silvia worked for Certified Public Accounting Firms since 1981, and she has experience in auditing for Fortunate 500 companies, and compilation, review, and tax compliance for small and mid-size companies and individuals. For the past 10 years before retiring at the end of April 2018, she worked for CliftonLarsonAllen LLP specialized in tax compliance for Gifts, Estates, Trusts, and high net worth individuals.
Silvia became a student of His Holiness the Sakya Trichen in 1989, and she has been active with Sakya Thupten Dargye Ling, Center for Buddhist Studies and Meditation in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 2000. She was appointed by His Holiness the Sakya Trichen as president of the Minnesota Sakya Center since 2003.
Silvia is also a supporting member of Tsechen Kunchab Ling, seat of the Sakya Dolma Phodrang in the Americas, in Walden New York since its inception in 2000.
In 2016, she was appointed as President of Sakya Foundation by His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin. She assisted His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin and H. E. Jetsun Kushok together with other board members for the transition work from Sakya Foundation to Sachen Foundation.
